Following the conclusion of the 2022 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) mock examinations, the board's registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said one centre was delisted from participating in the 2022 UTME examination for system failure.
The registrar who expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the examination across the country identified the centre as Brain Point Computer-Based Centre (CBT) at Oko-Oba in Lagos for allegedly violating the requirement for the conduct of an effective examination.
According to Oloyede, Brain Point Computer-Based Centre could not sustain its generator set and was automatically delisted. He added that candidates assigned to the centre would be refunded their money in full, and urged some tertiary institutions to maintain their facilities, saying some of their facilities were substandard and needed upgrading.
The registrar disclosed that 175,000 candidates sat for the mock examination and were only allowed for a session between 8 am to 10 am.
