As JAMB released the 2nd batch of pending and biometric verification results, we at www.SchoolGist.com.ng have come to realize that the candidates actually did better than their counterparts whose results were released earlier.
Though we're not sure about the exact statistics, majority of these candidates have been seen to score above 180, with very few below 180.
If the above scenario is correct, this may undermine the decision of the Board to reduce the cut-off marks for entry into the nation's higher institutions.
The release of the official cut-off marks for the 2013 session will be largely based on the performance of candidates in the PPT and coming CBT exams and so until the conclusion of the CBT exams on 1st June, there shall be no official cut-off marks yet.
While we await the release of more results on Saturday/Sunday, we can only hope that more students actually performed better.
