The Joint admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the deadline for the 2019/2020 admission process into universities. December 19th has been approved for close of admission into public universities and February 15, 2020 for private universities.
This was announced during the 2019 JAMB Policy meeting. The meeting had in attendance, Vice Chancellors of universities, Rectors of Polytechnics and Provost of colleges of education.
The 2019 cut-off marks into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education were also announced during the meeting. Candidates are advised to get the Post-UTME Past questions and Answers of their schools of choice and start preparing for the Post-UTME screening exercise.
In his remarks, the Director of tertiary institutions, Federal Ministry of Education, Joel Ojo, who represented Minister of Education, said the outcome of the recent investigation of the UTME registration of candidates carried out by the JAMB Admissions was a pointer that the examination industry requires a review.
Mr Ojo said JAMB Policy Meeting remains the acceptable forum where plans and programmes for admissions are discussed and approved to guide the placement of qualified candidates to tertiary institutions.
