JAMB Fixes Date To Announce 2018 Official Admission Cut-off Marks

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed when the board will announce the official cut-off marks for admission into Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges Of Education for the 2018/2019 Session.

This was made known by Mr Benjamin while announcing the success of the 2018 JAMB UTME for foreign candidates.

According to him, No cutoff marks will ever be decided upon without the usual policy meeting which has been scheduled to hold sometime in June and which is to be chaired by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. Until that is done, every other thing that is being paraded as cutoff mark is fictitious.

He equally stated that any institution that has commenced any form of admission without the official cutoff mark as would be decided upon at the June policy meeting is doing so illegally.

It was gathered that not less than 297 foreign candidates participated in the 2018 UTME in six countries namely, UK, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa

The exam was conducted on Saturday, April 14, under the supervision of some foreign nationals, who came to understudy the process.
