JAMB Accredits 650 CBT Centres For 2020 UTME/DE, Concludes Arrangements For Sales of Form

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that over 650 Computer Based Test, centres have been accredited so far for the upcoming 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The board had earlier announced that the sales of its registration documents from Monday, January 13, to Monday, February 17 while an optional mock examination for candidates is scheduled for February 18.

Candidates are advised to start preparation early with the SchoolGist JAMB CBT Mobile App for android phones or the SchoolGist JAMB CBT Software for Computer systems. According to JAMB's Head, Media, and Information Dr Fabian Benjamin, arrangements for the commencement of the sales of the documents nationwide had been concluded and logistics have been put in place to ensure a smooth process.

Dr Fabian also stated that mechanisms are in place to address any challenge or challenges that may arise before, during and even after the examination.

He emphasized that there is no going back on the use of the National Identification Number, for the acquisition of the registration documents by prospective candidates.

He urged candidates seeking to sit for this year’s UTME and who are yet to acquire the NIN to intensify efforts to do so in order to participate in the examination and urged them to ensure they seek advice from officials of the board regarding the UTME registration.

He added that the sales of Direct Entry forms closes the same day as the UTME forms and there will be no extension
