The registrar of JAMB, Prof.Is-haq Oloyede, has disclosed that this year's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which was earlier scheduled to hold June 5th to 19th, 2021 may likely be postponed.
Oloyede gave this hint during a virtual meeting with relevant stakeholders ahead of the examination. He attributed this to the difficulties being experienced by the candidates in their efforts to register.
He however added that the decision to either postpone the examination or to continue as scheduled would be taken later on Friday at the meeting with concerned individuals and institutions.
The JAMB boss confirmed that the mock examination that is slated for May 20, will go on as scheduled.
“While the mock examination will go on as scheduled we cannot say the same of the main examination. This is primarily because of NIN. We have more than 600,000 candidates who have indicated an interest in our examination but are yet to receive their details.” He said.
