In the wake of the global COVID-19 Pandemic sometime in February 2020, a nationwide lockdown which affected institutions and schools including Igbinedion University, Okada was ordered by the Federal Government in March 2020. .
Remarkably, the lockdown afforded the University the opportunity to look inwards and produce some of the pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical personal protective equipment required to ensure the safety of staff and students upon resumption.Â
You may recall that in my last message to you sometime in May 2020, I reiterated the Management’s commitment to the continued wellbeing and welfare of its students and their academic progress. I had also urged you then to encourage and support your wards to concentrate on their e-learning while looking forward to having the students back on campus.
I congratulate the parents and students for their patience and resilience during the period of the lockdown and I look forward to having the students back on campus soon.
