Following the incessant disruption of academic activities in the South-Eastern part of the country by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Anambra state government has ordered schools in the state to extend their academic days to include Saturdays.
According to a memo released by the government, Saturday classes will commence on October 30, 2021, in place of Mondays and Quality Assurance supervision and every other supervision will also hold on Saturdays.
The State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba, further clarified that the measure is to enable our pupils to learn as much as possible in a safe environment.
