Following the suspension of the strike called upon by the lecturers of Imo State University by the Governor of the State Rochas Okorocha, it was noted that not much academic activities were noticed in the school, raising doubts of the actual suspension of the strike.
It would be noted that the Governor, on Valentine's Day, announced that lecturers of the institutions are to resume immediately, assuring them of their salaries and a bid to move the institution to its permanent site.
On interviewing some students, they had eagerly resumed school only to find some lecturers missing. This was immediately blamed on preparations to resume and the fuel scarcity that hit the state last week.
It is expected that full academic activities should kick off Monday, 20th Feb.
