Biography of the Ikorodu Bois
The Ikorodu Bois, sometimes known as the Ikorodu Boys, are a group of Nigerian comedians and mimickers. They are well-known for recreating multimillion-dollar movie thrillers with common household items and video scenes that catch their interest. Ikorodu Bois comprises three siblings: Babatunde Sanni (23), Maleek Sanni (11), Muiz Sanni (16), and their cousin, Fawas Aina (10 years).
Career
Ikorodu Bios are well-known for recreating multimillion-dollar Hollywood movies and music videos using ordinary items such as wheelbarrows to imitate expensive vehicles and other top technology utilized in the film.
The group began performing in 2017 when they decided to share their talents with the world through social media. Muiz Sanni, Maleek Sanni, and their cousin Fawas Aina perform, while their elder brother Babatunde Sanni edits the videos and serves as the group manager.
They acquired the name Ikorodu Bois from Ikorodu, the place where they live in Lagos, Nigeria.
Their Education Qualification
The Ikorodu Bois are Conic College pupils from Ikorodu, Lagos State. Babatunde Sunni, their elder brother, is a psychology graduate of the University of Lagos.

The Ikorodu Bois have always maintained that their videos are always geared towards showcasing their talent and at the same time, making people laugh.
They recounted how they started in 2017 by translating cartoons into Yoruba, then they went on to mimic a video of the popular rapper known as Kanye West. A lot of people seemed to enjoy that, and they received a lot of positive comments and likes for their video. This spurred them on, as they went on to do a video of Dj Cuppy performing her song “Epe”, this turned out to be particularly hilarious for a lot of viewers. They also made a video of a Nigerian celebrity and the wife of a Nigerian award-winning artist, Adesuwa Etomi and her mother.
Ikorodu Bois have recreated numerous multimillion-dollar videos with common household items. Some of their notable videos are as follows:
Extraction 2, Kaptain Kush’s Bad Boys for Life, Money Heists, Army of the Dead and a slew of more films.
They also created a facsimile of NBA legend Kobe Bryant immediately after his death.
They have also imitated the music videos of well-known artists such as DJ Cuppy, Davido, Justin Bieber, Roddy Rich, and others.
Ikorodu Bois has also mimicked famous personalities and celebrities like; Muhammadu Buhari, Dwayne Johnson, Funke Akindele and so many others.
One of their most recent acts by the Ikorodu Bois was that of Maleek Sanni re-enacting the speech by the famous American TV host (Steve Harvey). The innovative comedy troupe have received recognition and met with numerous celebrities in Nigeria, including Davido, DJ Cuppy and her father (Femi Otedola), Actor Bolanle Ninalowo and wife, and other significant celebrities in the entertainment business.
- Netflix gave Ikorodu Bois filming equipment in 2020 in recognition of their unique talent and a way to encourage the young boys to do more using better equipment.
- The Ikorodu Bois has also been on CNN to discuss their videos and how their path to popularity began.
- Ikorodu Bois attended the premiere of Russo Brothers’ Extraction 2 after the group re-enacted the film’s trailer.
- In April 2021, Ikorodu Bois were included in a Netflix Oscar Weekend Film Brand Campaign, which was on display at New York City’s Times Square.
- Wills Smith, Russo Brothers, Davido, Alvaro Morte, Zack Snyder and many more have praised them.
- The young filmmakers/impressionist recently got another international recognition from Steve Harvey as they made a live appearance on his TV show.
The year 2021 has been an amazing year for the young talents, as they have even received recognition from the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu when they visited him. The year has still not yet ended and we still hope for more to come from the talented young boys from Ikorodu.
Nominations
The young impressionists have been nominated for the Favourite African Social Media Star’s category at this year’s Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. They however did not win, as they lost to Nigerians famous comedienne, Emmanuella.
