Early Life
Ijeoma Grace was born on June 16, sometime in the 1990s. She was born into a Christian, Igbo family. She was born in Benin City, Edo State, and she grew up there, even though her family hails from Anambra State, which is in the southeast of Nigeria. She is the eldest child, and she has 5 siblings; two boys and two girls.
Ijeoma attended both primary and secondary schools in Edo State, but she finished her secondary school, and obtained her WAEC certificate in Lagos. She then went to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra, where she studied Microbiology- she graduated in 2007.
She recalls that she started having the interest in acting when she was in secondary school, but had to wait till she was through with school before she could venture into the industry as a professional.
Career Development
After her education, she was introduced to the set of the TV drama series Eldorado, which was produced by Nollywood giant Fidelis Dukker. The series was a very successful one, and helped her to make connections in the filmmaking industry in the country. It is one thing to win over the industry players, and a different thing to win over the audience.
Ijeoma Grace then appeared in the movie Taxi Driver (2015) in which she played a central role; that of Delia, a prostitute. The movie was directed by Daniel Oriahi; who later became her husband.
