The Police in Rivers State has confirmed the release of Prof. Rosemond Osagholu, Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University, Port Harcourt who was kidnapped last week.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer in of the State, DSP Ahmad Muhammad, Osagholu was released on June 26.
“I can confirm to you that the Vice Chancellor of the Ignatius Ajuru University has been released. She is in good health and has been reunited with her family,” Muhammad said.
However, the police spokesman did not, disclose the exact location of her release, if any ransom was paid and if any arrest has been made.
