The Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital is proud to announce that the admissions process for its School of Nursing’s 2023/2024 academic year is now open. The institution welcomes all eligible and interested candidates to take part in this exciting opportunity to be part of an intensive three-year programme aimed at shaping the future stars of the nursing profession.
The Programme at a Glance
The Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital’s School of Nursing offers an enriching three-year training programme, tailored to mould students into professional nurses of high calibre. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded RN Certificates by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria
To ensure the recruitment of committed and diligent students, the institution has set forth specific academic requirements. Prospective students must present at least five credit passes in either NECO or WAEC examinations. Essential subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
The Application Procedure
Prospective students can purchase their admission forms at the Igbinedion University Liaison office situated at 69 Airport road, Opposite ITE Glass House, Benin City. A non-refundable fee of N15,000 is required, payable via a bank draft to the Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital.

Examination Details
An entrance examination will be conducted for all applicants, marking an integral part of the selection process. The examination is scheduled for Saturday, 16th September 2023, with commencement at 10 am prompt. The venue will be at the Igbinedion Education Centre, located at Muritala Mohamed Way, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
