The Vice Chancellor Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL),Prof Ibrahim Kolo, have sounded a heavy warning to the University's new students, saying that students with Grade Point Average (GPA) below one point will be failed out at the end of the school session.
This was made know during their Eighth matriculation of the university for the 2014/2015 academic session. Some 2,220 new students swore the matriculation oath administered by the Registrar, Malam Samaila Muhammad.
He further said that despite the non-conduct of Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation examination (UTME) test by the university any student that falls short of the institution’s standard in the first two semesters would be sent out of the institution.
He made it known to the freshers that it is a law in the school that students who don't meet the academic requirements or standards of the school will always be shown the door out of the school.
Prof Ibrahim Kolo, urged the students to focus on their studies and shun cultism or anything that will distract them from their studies in other not to be shown the way out.
