How to officially register your Cafe with JAMB for the UTME 2014 registration

Last year, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB mandated interested UTME registration outlets/centers (Cyber Cafes) to register with them to ensure uniformity of conduct of the exercise. Compliance to the guideline obviously reduced price differences and minimized errors in registration of candidates for UTME in Nigeria. This year again, the doors are open!

Presently registration of Cafes is ongoing even as JAMB is set to open her website for registration of 2014 UTME nationwide.

Please follow the instructions below strictly to register your Cafe for the UTME 2014 registration. Note that unless you register your centre and it is approved, you cannot take part in the forthcoming registration of candidates for the UTME 2014 registration exercise.


1. You are required to register your Business name as a registration centre.
2. You are required to pay a NON REFUNDABLE CAUTION FEE of N10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) Only.
3. Make sure you specify a valid email address because your Access Code shall be sent to you via this medium
4. On submission of your centre registration form, an acknowledgment slip shall be sent to your email, which contains your business Reference Number and other details
5. Print this slip, take it to the nearest Zenith Bank Plc and pay the above fee into the Account (UTME12CYBER; Account No. 1012830959), specifying your Reference Number on the teller.
5. Scan your teller and send it by email to [email protected]
6. Upon confirmation of your payment, your Access Code shall be sent to you via your email address. Confirmation takes three (3) working days.
7. The Access Code is Non-Tranferable, and you are liable for all the transactions done with the Code.
8. JAMB has the right to withdraw the Code, if after inspection, it is discovered that you provided any false information, possess inadequate facilities or engaged in activities that contravene the registration guidelines, including overcharging of candidates.
9. Registration centres (Cafes) shall charge candidates a maximum of N700 (Seven Hundred Naira) only per candidate including full registration and printing of two (2) copies of e-Registration Slip.
10. Note that it is the right of the candidate to report your office if you overcharge and your Access Code may be withdrawn.
11. You can use one Access Code at one Point only. Note that the Code shall be required to create account which shall be used to access the Registration portal.

Note that your Office MUST agree to abide by all the rules and guidelines for the conduct of the e-registration and should be prosecuted if any of the stated rules and guidelines is violated.
