An assistant headmaster at Central Primary School, Buni Yadi, Yobe State, Babagana Kachalla, and four others were on Tuesday, Jan 25, kidnapped by gunmen in Madiya Village, Gujba Local Government Area of the state.
They were said to have been abducted after they ran into a roadblock mounted by the insurgents in Madiya at about 8:20 am. One Boyema who luckily escaped the abduction reported the incident to the divisional police station in the area at about 10:37 a.m.
The spokesperson of Yobe state police command, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, who confirmed the incident listed the four other abductees to include Abubakar Barma, Haruna Barma, Modu Bukar, and Hajiya Gana.
