A group known as Greater Nigeria Initiative has launched a programme called "Life After WAEC" initiative which is focused at promoting the entrepreneurial and empowerment capacities of graduating students writing WAEC in the FCT.
Convener of the group, Hajiya Aishatu Ismaila disclosed this during the maiden edition of the programme at the Air Force Girls Secondary School in Abuja. She stated that the initiative will be taken to various secondary schools and enhance the acquisition of skills amongst the students.
Hajiya Ismaila who stressed that the contribution of youths was of utmost importance to national development, emphasized the need to engage them with vital skills that will enable them to participate in nation-building. According to her, some of the skill acquisition will cover areas such as writing, photography, bead making, sewing and so on.
