Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State on Thursday presented an additional N10m cheque to Guardian Angel Nursery and Primary School, Abatete.
The sum, he said, was for the ongoing reconstruction of the school’s main building destroyed by fire earlier this year.
The money is the fourth installment of financial intervention released to the school by the governor for the project.
Obi said it was to enable the school to complete the building in line with his earlier promise to ensure that the structure was put back in shape to provide good learning environment for the children.
The Principal of Dominican Sisters’ College Abatete, Rev. Sis. Mary Adesanya, said the governor was committed to helping the poor and the needy in the state.
Adesanya noted that the governor had continued to use available meagre resources to elevate the state to a pride of place.
The Mother-General of the Congregation, Rev. Sis. Maria-Goretti Ngwuagu, assured that they would continue to support the government with prayers to realize its vision for the state.
