The Gombe State Government has provided isolation centres in some schools in the state due to reports on confirmed cases of coronavirus among pupils sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination. This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Education, Dr Habu Dahiru, said the state realized that some schools had the capacity to host such facilities.
According to him, “We established some isolation centres in some schools, one in Billiri, Kumo and some others because they have the facilities, the building was purpose made.”
When we were building the schools we built school clinic that is big enough to provide for the isolation of patients especially the one in Government Technical Kumo.” He said.
