Ghanaian authorities get 2-week ultimatum over Killed Nigerian Student

Some human rights groups, yesterday, gave a two week ultimatum to the Ghanaian government to fish out killers of the Nigerian student in Ghana, Godwin Ayogu, failure of which they would take a drastic action.

The groups gave the ultimatum during a protest at the Ghana High Commission, Ikeja, Lagos. The groups accused the Ghanaian Police and authorities of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, of trying to shield the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

They also demanded that the deceased school fees, which was alleged to have been collected from him by his assailants, be refunded.
The victim was a 19-year-old 300 level student of Economics.

His mother, Mrs. Ngozi Anyogu, who also participated in the protest, told the Deputy Consul General, Mr. Isaac Essilifie, “we have invested so much in my son and see no reason why he should be killed like an animal while his killers are parading the streets of Ghana.”
