The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Prof. Cyril Asiabaka received a Distinguished Award of Excellence from his Alma mater, the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, U.S.A.
The Vice-Chancellor accompanied by his wife and Ag. Director, Center for Women, Gender and Development Studies (CWGDS) traveled to the U.S.A for the period: September 14 – 19, 2012.
During the trip, the Vice Chancellor signed some Memoranda of Understanding with some reputable Universities to effectively flag off linkage agreements.
The CAES Alumni Association Award of Excellence recognizes College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences alumni who have achieved excellence in their chosen field and/or in their community. The 58th Annual CAES Awards Banquet was held Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Georgia Center in Athens, where the Vice Chancellor received the Award.
