FUTO gets new DVCs

Engr. Prof. Nwadikom, of the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering (ABE) and a renowned professor of Agric Engineering, is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) on Academics.

He is the former Dean of the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET); and until his current appointment, was the Director of Centre for Industrial Studies (CIS) of the University.

Prof. Agu, who is of the Department of Crop Science Technology (CST) and a notable professor of Crop Science, is the present DVC on Administration.

He is the past Associate Dean of School of Post-Graduate Studies (PGS); and till his present appointment, was the Director of Centre for Agricultural Research and Extension (CARE) of FUTO.

Prof. Oguzie, of the Department of Chemistry and a well-respected professor of Chemistry, is the current DVC on Research Development and Innovation (RDI).

He is the former Dean of the School of Environmental Sciences (SOES); and until his current appointment, was the Director of Africa Centre of Excellence on Future Energies and Electrochemical Systems (ACE-FUELS) of the University.

On behalf of the Management, their appointments were graciously approved by the 8th Substantive Vice-Chancellor (VC) of FUTO, Prof. Mrs. Nnenna Nnannaya Oti on 1st July 2021.

An interaction of the FUTO Media with some members of the FUTO Community revealed that their appointments were apt and well-deserved, hence a right step in the right direction.

We wish the appointees well in their respective endeavours, as we pray for God's grace to enable them carry out the challenging tasks ahead.
