The management of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has directed all non-teaching staff to resume normal duties with effect from Thursday, December 3rd, 2020. This was contained in a memo signed by the Registrar of the university.
According to the memo, this is in line with the directive of the Federal Government through the Head of Service of the Federation.
The memo added that staff on approved leave should serve out their leave provided that Heads of the department may recall any staff for exigencies of the office.
"While the rotational attendance is hereby set aside, COVID-19 protocols still remain in force", the memo state.
