The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Of Technology, Owerri(FUTO), Prof. Chigozie C. Asiabaka at the 31st matriculation ceremony of the University, revealed the increase of admission quota for the University by the National Universities Commission (NUC) from 3000 to 4,320 with effect from 2012/2013 academic session.
It would be recalled that over 32,000 candidates applied for FUTO however only a little over 4000 were admitted.
The VC has however assured the public of a sustenance of this new quota in the 2013/2014 Academic Session.
