FUTMINNA Launches 7 New Academic Programmes
The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) is set to introduce seven new academic programmes in response to the growing demand for a contemporary and robust curriculum. These programmes are scheduled for the first batch of Resource Assessment by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the accreditation of the Department of Estate Management & Valuation by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON).
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, made this announcement on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Senate Chamber, Main Campus, during a courtesy visit by the NUC Resource Assessment Teams and ESVARBON. Prof. Kuta emphasized the importance of this assessment exercise, assuring that the University has taken all necessary steps to meet the minimum requirements for launching the new programmes. He added that peer review is crucial for identifying areas needing improvement to enhance the overall system.
Prof. Sanusi Abubakar, NUC Team Lead on Public Health, explained that their visit aimed to assess the institution’s readiness to launch the new programmes through resource verification. ESV. Dr. C.C. Nwuba, Team Lead for ESVARBON, stated that his team aimed to re-evaluate the Estate Management and Valuation programme to build on past progress.

- B.Tech. Forestry and Wildlife Technology (SAAT)
- B.Tech. Forensic Science (SLS)
- B.Tech. Public Health (SLS)
- B.Tech. Data Science (SICT)
- B.Tech. Software Engineering (SICT)
- B.Tech. Industrial Mathematics (SPS)
- B.Tech. Meteorology (SPS)
