Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA School of Sciences get e-library.
The School of Sciences in its determined effort to keep pace with modern trends in the academic sector has set up an e-library for the use of its staff and students.
Speaking while Commissioning the e-library, the Vice Chancellor ,Professor Adebiyi Daramola, said the e-library is one of the best in the Institution and advised students and staff to make judicious used of it.
He congratulated the Dean, Professor Olubode Koriko saying the e-library has added another fillip to the achievement of the School through his commitment to the School’s affair.

He said any Department looking forward for the University’s support for any project must first initiate it and not vice versa.
In a welcome address, Professor Koriko appreciated the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola and his team for the gracious support the School has received from them. .
Professor Koriko said executing the project was initially difficult, particularly due to fluctuation in exchange rate vis-à-vis accessing fund for the computer hard wares but for the professional advice from the Bursar at every point of the transaction.
Speaking further he said the E-library is the most important thing that is always considered in the course of accreditation and promised that the facility would be well maintained and utilized.
The E-library consists of 15 computers, a dedicated computer as database, and several books that can be used as reference materials.
