Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA matriculates 53 matriculating students for the Master’s Degree Programme in Geo-Information Technology for the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 academic sessions.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebiyi Daramola has charged newly matriculated students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) to reciprocate Management’s effort at providing conducive learning atmosphere by maintaining law and order on campus.

Addressing 53 matriculating students for the Master’s Degree Programme in Geo-Information Technology for the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 academic sessions under the FUTA/Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Surveys (RECTAS) collaboration, the Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Olatunde Arayela charged matriculating students to take advantage of the unique opportunity of being trained in FUTA, the nation’s leading University of Technology.
He emphasized that FUTA has all it takes to equip the students to confront challenges related to Geo-Information Technology, hence enjoined them to invest in the pursuit of their academic which he reiterated was the reason for their application and subsequent admission rather than forming and or joining gangs that will jeopardize their mission. He advised them to acquaint themselves with the academic culture of the University as a means of staying abreast.
He also expressed gratitude to the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies; Professor Oludare Ajewole who he said had contributed in no small measure to the success of the matriculation and Postgraduate School as a whole. Principal Officers of the University, Deans, Senior members of staff and Principal Officers of RECTAS were present at the Matriculation.
