FUPRE Pre-Degree Admission Form 2023/2024 Session

The Directorate of Sub-degree Programmes at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) cordially extends an invitation to all appropriately qualified individuals to submit applications for its Pre-Degree Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Candidates should ideally possess a minimum of five credit passes, inclusive of English Language and Mathematics, obtained within a span of not more than two separate examination sittings.

Objectives of FUPRE’s Pre-Degree Programme

Enhancing Examination Performance

• The principal objective is to significantly improve the performance of prospective students in national examinations like WASC, NECO, and GCE. This is strategically designed to meet the stringent admission prerequisites for Science and Engineering programmes.

Maximising UTME and Post-UTME Success

• The programme aims to equip candidates for success in the UTME and Post-UTME examinations, thereby optimising their prospects for gaining admission into these highly competitive programmes.

Elevating Academic Standards

• Additionally, the initiative seeks to elevate the academic calibre of candidates who gain admission into the 100-level programmes at FUPRE and other universities, ensuring a more knowledgeable and skilled student body.

Comprehensive Nine-Month Curriculum

The Pre-Degree initiative at FUPRE is an intensive nine-month instructional programme that encompasses comprehensive teaching and coaching sessions in the following academic disciplines:

• Mathematics
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Geography

How to Apply for Pre-Degree Admission at FUPRE

Application Fee and Procedure

Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000). This fee can be paid online or through bank channels.

1. Application Portal: Apply Here
2. Generate an invoice utilising one’s mobile number.
3. Proceed to either complete the payment online or utilise the invoice for bank payment.
4. Utilise the processed RRR to complete the application form.
5. Print out the acknowledgement slip as a record of successful application submission.

Important Note on Admission Criteria

It is imperative to note that admission into FUPRE’s 100-level courses will be determined by the candidate’s average scores in both the final Basic Studies Examination and the JAMB examination.
