FUOYE update on NELFUND Loan

FUOYE update on NELFUND Loan

Season's greetings to you. We hope this correspondence finds you in high spirits and optimally prepared for the upcoming first semester examination. We are pleased to announce that the payment of Batch B of the NELFUND loan to successful applicants has been completed, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 3,282 students.

Additionally, we await the payment of over 2,000 outstanding applications from the NELFUND Directorate.

This achievement is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the VISIONAIRES, the university management, and the NELFUND desk officer, who have worked tirelessly to advocate for students' welfare.

Nevertheless, we acknowledge that some students, not included in Batch B, are still awaiting their loan payment. In this regard, we advise affected students to explore alternative arrangements for settling their sundry fees and utilize the 60/40 payment scheme, which enables payment of 60% of sundry fees to facilitate registration for the upcoming examination.

Furthermore, please be aware that upon receipt of the NELFUND loan, regardless of whether it is prior to or after the first semester examination, students will be obligated to settle the outstanding 40% of their sundry fees and allocate the remaining balance towards other portal payments. While acknowledging potential temporary inconvenience, we assure you that we are diligently working to expedite loan payments for all students encompassed within the 2000+ applications.

Additionally, we also encourage students of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) who have not yet done so, to take advantage of the NELFUND Student Loan initiative, designed to alleviate financial burdens. Notably, the NELFUND student loan is interest-free and does

not require any application fee, aiming to case the financial obligations of students and their parents/sponsors, thereby promoting academic success.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. The VISIONAIRES remain committed to tirelessly advocating for the general welfare and paramount interests of the student body, ensuring that your well-being and academic success remain our utmost priority.
