Federal University, Oye-ekiti sandwich programmes for 2024/2025 is out. This is to inform all interested persons that the management of FUOYE has published the list of sandwich courses offered in FUOYE and the admission requirements for candidates who are interested in the programme.
Oftentimes, candidates seeking admission into FUOYE via sandwich confuse FUOYE full time course for sandwich courses. They just assume that any course offered in FUOYE full time is equally available for the sandwich programmes but this is not always the case.
Candidates, especially the ones who applied for who missed out on the that selected FUOYE in their UTME and could not gain admission now go for sandwich programmes and the good news is that the certificate awarded to sandwich graduates is exactly the same with FUOYE time degree programme so there is no discrimination.
FUOYE sandwich courses for this semester have been listed below. Courses under the faculty of education are the most applied courses under sandwich programme in FUOYE. There are also sandwich courses under faculty of social sciences but quite few in number. Part time programmes are only available under faculty of social sciences and education.
Most candidates or applicants often complain using the following statements “the course i applied for was not given to me, what should I do? i met all the admission requirements yet i was not offered admission, how do I apply for FUOYE sandwich degree programme? what are the sandwich courses offered in FUOYE, what are the requirements to apply for FUOYE sandwich degree programme?, what is FUOYE sandwich admission cut off mark?
The above questions have one answer which is, meeting the admission requirements. Any candidate that does meet the FUOYE sandwich admission requirement automatically is not eligible for admission and there are no two ways about it.
FUOYE Sandwich Courses & Entry Requirements
1. B.Sc. (ED) AGRICULTURE: 4 YEAR DEGREE CONTACT
Five (5) O’level passes at SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/TC II at credit level, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agriculture Science and Chemistry.
Candidate also must possess any of:
NCE Merit pass in Agriculture Science;
A’ level passes in two of Agriculture Science/Biology, and Chemistry; or
OND in Agriculture Science
2. B.Sc. (Ed) AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE EDUCATION: 5 YEAR CONTACT
Candidates must possess 5 O’level credit passes which must include Biology/Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
3. B.Sc. (Ed) BUSINESS EDUCATION: 4 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) O’level credit passes which must include English Language,
Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings. Candidate also must possess any of:
A merit pass in NCE in Business Education, Secretarial Studies.
4. B.Sc. (Ed) BUSINESS EDUCATION: 5 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) O’level credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings.
5. B.Sc. (Ed) ECONOMICS 4 YEAR CONTACT
At least five (5) O’level credit which must include English Language,
Mathematics, Economics and any other two Social Science subjects. Candidate also must possess any of:
Merit pass and above passes in Economics and any relevant Social Science subject
A’level passes in Economics and one Social Science subject with a grade not less than 4 points.
6. B.Sc. (Ed) ECONOMICS: 5 YEAR CONTACT
At least five (5) O’level credit which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Social Science subjects.
7. B.A.Ed. ENGLISH: 4 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) O’level credit passes which must include English Language, Literature in English and three other subjects from Arts and Social Sciences with at least a pass in Mathematics. Candidate also must possess any of:
NCE in two Arts subjects one of which must be Literature in English.
A’ level passes in two Arts subjects which must include Literature in English with a grade not lower than 11 points.
8. B.A.Ed. ENGLISH: 5 YEAR CONTACT
Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level subjects at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Literature in English, two other subjects in Arts/Social Sciences with a pass in Mathematics.
9. B.Sc. (Ed) BIOLOGY 4 YEAR CONTACT
At least merit pass and above at NCE in either chemistry or Geography in addition to the UTME requirement of 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry or Geography and Biology.
10. B.Sc. (Ed) BIOLOGY 5 YEAR CONTACT
5 O’level credit passes at SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE which should include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry or Geography and Biology and one other subjects.
11. B.Sc. (Ed) CHEMISTRY 4 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) O’level credit passes at SSCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent which must include: English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry. Candidate also must possess any of:
Merit pass in Chemistry Education at NCE.
A level passes which must include Chemistry.
12. B.Sc. (Ed) CHEMISTRY 5 YEAR CONTACT
5 O’level credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent which must include: English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
13. B.Sc. Ed. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY: 4 YEAR CONTACT
Candidates should possess five (5) O’Level credits which should include English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings. Candidate also must possess any of:
At least Merit pass in NCE: Technical Education or its equivalent.
OND with Upper credit in Technical Education.
A level passes in any combination of Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a grade not below 4 points.
14. B.Sc. Ed. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY: 5 YEAR CONTACT
Candidates for admission into the programme should possess 5 O’level credit or its equivalent which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings.
15. B.Sc. Ed. HEALTH EDUCATION: 4 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) credit passes in O’level at not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two subjects. Candidate also must possess any of:
Merit pass at NCE in Health Education.
16. B.Sc. Ed. HEALTH EDUCATION: 5 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings.
17. B.Sc. Ed. HUMAN KINETICS EDUCATION: 4 YEAR CONTACT
Five (5) O’level passes at credit in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science/Integrated Science and any other two at not more than two sittings. Candidate also must possess any of:
NCE in Physical and Health Education with Education.
18. B.Sc. Ed. HUMAN KINETICS: 5 YEAR CONTACT
