FUOTUKE Resumes After Mid-Semester Break

Academic activities have resumed at Federal University Otuoke after the two week mid-semester break given to students by management of the Institution.

Briefing FUO Media, Dean Student Life, Dr. Mercillina Offoha said the break was to enable students get refreshed and prepare for their 1st Semester Examination.

Dr. Offoha noted that according to the academic schedule students will conclude lectures this week, then embark on revision next week while the semester examination takes place the week after, running for two weeks before they will proceed for the semester break.

The Dean revealed that FUO students will be on semester break during the forthcoming 2015 general elections.

On accommodation arrangements, Dr. Marcellina Offoha said the short break did not affect hostel accommodation for students as they still maintain their hostels with exception to those owing the University.

She also expressed optimism that the male hostel under construction will be put to use next session as work is seriously ongoing.

On her relationship with the students which she described as mother – child affair, the new Dean, Student life said she enjoys a cordial relationship with the students.
