The management of Federal university of Agriculture Abeokuta, FUNAAB has announced the resumption date for fresh and returning students. This was pasted on the University’s general notice board today.
According to the academic calendar for this year, resumption dates for freshers and returning students as well as the date for resumption of lectures, academic and non academic activities for the 2023/2024 academic session are as follows;

Arrival of Fresh students – Monday March 23rd 2020 (Resumption Date for freshers)
ICT Training and Orientation for fresh students – Tuesday March 24th to Friday April 17th 2020
Arrival and Registration of returning students – Tuesday April 14th to May 4th 2020 (Resumption Date for returning students)
First Semester Lectures Begins – Monday, April 20th, 2020
62nd Inaugural Lecture – Wednesday April 24, 2020.
Late Registration with Penalty Commences – Monday, May 4, 2020
63rd Inaugural Lecture – Wednesday May 6, 2020.
Late Registration with Penalty ends and portal closes on – Friday May 8, 2020.
Matriculation – Wednesday May 6 2020.
64th Inaugural Lecture – Wednesday May 27, 2020.
65th Inaugural Lecture – Wednesday June 17, 2020.
First Semester Lectures Ends – Friday July 10, 2020
66th Inaugural Lecture – Wednesday July 15, 2020

In summary of the above, FUNAAB first and second semester has been designed to last for a period of 9 months including first and second semester breaks. Please see the breakdown below;
First Semester has been scheduled as follows;
- An average of 12 weeks of lectures (academic activities)
- 1 week of preparing for examination
- 3 weeks of examination
- 6 weeks of marking of exam scripts and compilation of results
While Second Semester has been scheduled as follows;
- 12 weeks of lectures (academic activities)
- 1 week of preparing for examination
- 3 weeks of examination
- 6 weeks of marking of exam scripts and compilation of results
