The internal crisis which rocked the Federal University Of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) branch of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) has ended as aggrieved members have brokered peace in the collective interest of the Union.
The Chairman of the Union, Comrade Isaq Odunjo disclosed the resolution and restoration of normalcy in the Union in a statement he signed and titled, “The Dawn of Peace and Progress in NASU, FUNAAB.
According to him, the immediate past chairman, Mr. I. O. A. Fadairo has handed over the “paraphernalia of leadership and properties” of the Union to him in the interest and progress of the Union.
He called on members “to let us move forward with hope and sincerity of purpose in order to move the Union forward.”
Comrade Odunjo extended his hands of fellowship to all members of the Union, assuring them of exemplary leadership that will take NASU to greater height.
The Chairman expressed appreciation to the University management “for their managerial prowess with which it handled the crisis since August 22, 2012 when the election was conducted”.
Comrade Odunjo also thanked staff and students Unions and the National Headquarters of NASU in particular for their contributions to the resolution of the crisis.
