Professor Olayemi Durotimi Akinwumi has been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja.
His appointment was announced on Friday afternoon by the Governing Council of the university. He will take over from Angela Miri who is due for retirement.
The new Vice-Chancellor is a Professor of History from Nasarawa State University and is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Following his appointment, the Vice-Chancellor, of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed has congratulated Professor Olayemi Durotimi Akinwumi, stating that the appointment was a clear deposition of the wealth of experience the new VC has gathered over the years in his chosen profession. He congratulated him via a message posted on NSUK official Facebook page.
