That is, upon gaining admission, your school fees payment receipt would be needed, that is, a proof of payment of tuition fee by fresh students will be required before you are granted admission unlike public (State and Federal) universities where fees can be paid after gaining admission.

To many, the only downside to the private system of education in the country is the exorbitant fees and charges which is not easily affordable to everyone but the truth is many of theses private universities have structured a system that makes payment of fees less of  burden to parents and guardians. Now fees are being paid in installments unlike in the past where it was designed to be paid in lump-sum. In fact some schools give students the opportunity to break down fees in three (3) installments and some schools allow up to four installment payments.

The American University of Nigeria Yola is so far the most expensive private university in Nigeria. School fees are paid in dollars but when converted to Naira, it amounts to 1,590,000

LAW:  the tuition is N2,500,000 other fees to be paid sum up to make a total of N2,802,000

Medicine and surgery (MBBS):  The tuition fee is N2,800,000 and other addition payment sum it up to N4,042,000

Faculty of Engineering tuition fee is N750,000 and other additional payment sum it up to N2,077,000

HEALTH SCIENCES, AGRICULTURE AND OTHERS

School fees: N727,000

This university is located in Uturu, Abia state. Gregory University is a standard private university. The learning environment and disciplinary measures put in place makes it easy for students concentrate and graduate with good grades. Gregory University school fees is very affordable. The more professional your course is perceived, the more expensive it will be. The university is listed among the least expensive university in Nigeria.

8. Babcock University, Ilishan Remo

Their school fee ranges between N620,000 to N3 million. In Babcock University, total amount to be paid depends on your meal and hostel accommodation.  The university offers two and three daily meal services, And for accommodation, there are three to seven students in a room.

FYI, Babcock university is an expensive private university. If you are not financially buoyant, don’t attempt this school.

9. Bowen University, Iwo

Bowen university is own and operated by Nigerian Baptist Convention. The university located at Iwo in Osun State. Bowen university is one of the earliest private universities in Nigeria, established in November 4, 2002.

Tuition fee ranges from
N500,000 to N750,000 per annum.
The university only
Provides accommodation and tuition. Students are
made to be responsible for their food from the schools cafeteria.

10. Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO)

The university was founded upon receipt of certificate of approval on May 16, 1999, making it the premier private university in
Nigeria.

provide feeding.

Redeemer’s University is a Christian institution located in Redemption City, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was established in 2005.
