The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Dutse, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed has approved the appointment of Dr. Nasir Umar Muhammad as the new Dean of Students Affairs Division.

Dr. Nasir has several publications in both local and international journals of Literary Studies. He is presently an Associate Professor of Literature with research interest in Literary Theory, Afro – American Literature and the development of the African Novel.
He is a member of the editorial board of several journals of English and literary studies. He is a Member Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). Dr. Umar is an external examiner to ABUZaria, SLU and AI – Qalam University. He has attended many conferences both local and international.
Dr. Umar joined the services of Federal University Dutse in 2012 and has held several administrative responsibilities.
