GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. For Postgraduate Admission, candidates must possess basic “O” Level requirements (credit in five relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics) in addition to the following:

Postgraduate Diploma:

1. Graduates of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized Universities in relevant areas.
2. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with minimum pass at credit level or equivalent in relevant areas from recognized institutions.

Masters Degree:

1. Candidates who possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant areas from University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized universities with a minimum of Second Class Honours.
2. Candidates with Third Class Honours Degree or HND (in relevant areas) with appropriate Postgraduate Diploma of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi or from other recognized institutions with minimum CGPA of 3.5 (or at least Upper Credit in the Postgraduate Diploma). In addition, the holders of HND, PGD/PGDE Certificates should satisfy the basic School Certificate or GCE Ordinary Level entry requirements (credit in five relevant subjects) for admission into Bachelors Degrees of the respective departments.

Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.)

1. Holders of Master’s Degree of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized Universities with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5- point scale provided that satisfactory research work formed part of the degree. Relevant prerequisite apply.

JOSTUM POSTGRADUATE FORM APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Candidates who are interested in applying for the postgraduate forms are to follow the approved application guidelines below;

Step 1 – Applicants are required to submit two (2) copies of the completed form to the secretary, Postgraduate School with copies of their academic credentials attached through hand delivery or by courier service on or before the closing date for sale of application forms.

Step 2 – Applicants are to request their three (3) referees to send confidential report on them on the referees report form on-line.

Step 3 – Applicants must arrange for their academic transcripts to be forwarded to the Secretary, Postgraduate School before closing date for sales of application form which ends on 9th April, 2020.
