Friends and family have taken to social media to mourn the demise of a lecturer with the College of Education Katsina-Ala, Dr. Major Walter Anma Isa, who was shot dead by gunmen on Christmas Eve.
The deceased lecturer was among five persons killed when unknown gunmen on motorbikes stormed the residence of Katsina-Ala Local Government chairman, Alfred Avalumun Atera, on Thursday, December 24.
Three policemen and one other person were killed in the attack. The council boss who was at his residence at the time of the attack escaped death narrowly as he was smuggled out during the exchange of fire with the private security man.
The lecturer who was also a Ph.D. student of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 30 in his hometown, Ukwongo, Utonkon, Ado Local Government Area of Benue state.
