The Ebele-Anyi Chux Foundation has raised N5 million to sponsor the education of a physically-challenged teenager, Chiagozie Nweke, who attracted attention earlier this year for hawking with one leg. It was also gathered that the parents of the teenager were given the sum of N1 million by the foundation to start a business, while they await the completion of the home it promised to build.
The co-founder of the foundation, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, while speaking via a Facebook post, said the fund was to ensure the uninterrupted education of the teenager.
He added that with the house the Nwekes will “never again be without a home. “ According to him, the foundation does not act on human directives but divine injunction.
