First Class Students Shouldn't Seek for Jobs - KWASU VC

The vice-chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Mohammed Akanbi has reacted to the unemployment statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), that 21.76 million Nigerians are currently unemployed.

The Vice-chancellor called it senseless for first class graduates to search for jobs after school. He disclosed this while on a visit to some selected government agencies in Abuja, where he went to mobilize support for the school.

Akanbi said it is wrong for universities in the country to graduate first-class students with no job-enabling skills, and called on schools and government across the country to encourage skill acquisition and entrepreneurial programs.
