The Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike while addressing Chairmen of the Governing Councils of Federal Polytechnics and Federal Colleges of Education in Kaduna during a special retreat made it known that president Goodluck Jonathan has set up a committee, headed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim to address the issue of HND, B.Sc. dichotomy.
According to him the committee met with Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) last week on the issue.
The minister who appealed to the striking lecturers to go back to classrooms also said that the government is currently working on meeting other demands of the union.
