FG releases 2020 first batch merit admission into Unity Colleges

Barely three days after the receipt of the results of the National Common Entrance Examination for admission into the country's 110 Unity Colleges, the Federal Ministry of Education has released the first batch of merit-based admission into Unity Colleges in line with the directives of Education Minister, Adamu Adamu.

Receiving the results of the 2020/2021 National Common Entrance from the chief examiner the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO). Professor Godswil Obioma, the Minister directed that "within 72 hours of the receipt of the results principals are to complete both the merit-based (60%) and 30% equality of states admissions.

The results were transmitted to principals on Wednesday, 18 November 2020 by the Basie and Secondary Education Department of the Ministry, which is saddled with the responsibility.

Within the stipulated timeframe, both the merit-based and equality of States' admissions are now ready.

Candidates are advised to check the admission list which will be posted on the website of the Ministry on Monday, the 23d November, 2020.

Admission letters will be available for collection at the Unity Colleges on the 24 November, 2020.
