FG Declares January 2nd, 2015 a Public Holiday

The federal Government has declared January, 2nd 2015 as public holiday to celebrate the Eld-Maulud. (Birth of Mohammed)

This was made known by Dr Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

President Jonathan, according to Abati, urged all adherents of Islam in the country to use the occasion to offer special prayers at Jumat (Friday worship) for the success of the forthcoming general elections.
