The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, public holidays to mark the 2019 Easter celebration. This was made knwn by the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs Georgina Ehuriah,on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), on Wednesday in Abuja.
He called on all Christians to emulate Jesus Christ’s exemplary attributes of tolerance, sacrificial love, peaceful co-existence, among others.
He urged Nigerians home and abroad to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and progress of the country, irrespective of diversity in religious beliefs as well as support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its determination to take the country to the next level.
Dambazau wished Nigerians a happy and peaceful Easter celebration.
