This is to inform the Polytechnic Community and especially the students that the two (2) months old industrial strike declared by the academic Staff of Polytechnics (ASUP) has been suspended with effect from today, Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Accordingly, the Management of the Polytechnic has directed that students should resume academic activities as from Monday, June 14, 2021 in continuation of the second semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
However, students in the Polytechnic Halls of Residence are to resume on Saturday. June 12 and Sunday, June 13, 2021. They are to put their luggage on the pavilion ground for fumigation. They must ensure that they remove all food items and other perishable items to avoid the consequences thereof.
You are expected to take cognizance of the following highlights:
i. Strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols through social distancing, washing of hands, use of hand sanitizers, wearing of face masks, and observance of safety protocols in line with best practices (staff are not excluded please);
ii. All staff and students should pass through the disinfectant booths placed at the entrance gate of the Campus;
iii. While motorists are expected to enter the Campus through the Beautiful Gate of the West Campus; and
iv. Both at the East and West Gates, temperature screening will be carried out and the use of hand sanitizer will be administered to all entrants.
You are hereby enjoined to adhere strictly to the safety protocols and maintain high level of decorum in your inter personal relationships especially with the Security Personnel.
