FEDPOLEL gets NBTE accreditation for 12 academic programmes

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji (FEDPOLEL), Prof. Emmanuel Fasakin has revealed that 12 of its academic programmes have been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

Prof. Fasakin reiterated the fact that the polytechnic was established to bridge the unmet demand of secondary school leavers for tertiary education in the country. He mentioned that the institution has witnessed progress since his coming into office as pioneer rector in 2015.

The Rector said laying a solid foundation is pivotal to building a sustainable institution, adding that the polytechnic secured NBTE accreditation for five courses at the National Diploma level to formally commence academic activities in April 2015 and later added seven courses in 2019.

The accredited programmes include Accountancy, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Architecture and Architecture Technology, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration and Management, Cooperative Economics, Agricultural Technology and Fisheries Technology.
