The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics on Monday embarked on an industrial action in protest to the non-implementation of Consolidated Tertiary Institution Salary Structure for its members in the institution.
During an interview with the Chairman of ASUP, Osun State, Mr. Adeyemi Komolafe, and the Vice Chairman of the union, Mr. Kayode Azeez, the two leaders disclosed that the lecturers will be coming to school but would not teach the students.
It was learnt that the situation has been reported to the national executive of the ASUP and they had given their support to the local chapter.
