Their award letters were handed over to the Provost, Dr Tessy Okoli, by Mrs Omeje Susan on behalf of the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. The value of the award is N200,000 per session

The Provost congratulated the winners on their outstanding performance, and urged them to strive harder to sustain it.

She described the award as a recognition of hardwork and thanked the Federal Government for encouraging academic excellence among students of various tertiary institutions in the country.

To sustain the award, beneficiaries are expected to maintain high performance. Failure at examinations/performance below the required CGPA of 4.0 on a 5 point scale and 3.5 for Polytechnics and College of Education respectively could lead to forfeiting the award.

The Provost further charged other students of the College to join the league of high-flyers by improving their academic performance, so that they can apply for the scholarship through this link: www.education.gov.ng.
