The Ghana Food Movement (GFM) & Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO) are organizing a novel and innovative program for youth to explore the food and agri-business sector. The program is designed to train and connect ambitious youth to the new generation of food and agri-businesses in Ghana while creating employment opportunities for them and other like-minded young people. The project seeks to inspire the youth to see the opportunities within Ghana’s food system and enable their inclusion by providing training and valuable networking.

Aim and Benefits of Farm Accra Youth in Agribusiness Program
1. Learn about Ghana’s and global food systems and topics such as future farming solutions, entrepreneurship, decolonizing food systems, sustainable / urban farming.
2. Develop your soft skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, presentation skills, cv writing and basic computer skills.
3. Do field trips to agribusinesses and visit at least 10 different food and agri related companies.
4. Meet and learn from experts & professionals during lectures and masterclasses.
5. Connect with likeminded people!
6. Get the chance to apply for a 3-4 months paid internship with the participating companies (GHC 700,-)
Requirements for Farm Accra Youth in Agribusiness Program Qualification
1. 100% motivated and interest in food, agriculture and sustainability 2. Fulltime availability during the entire program and physically joining the program in Osu, Accra 4 times per week. 4. We welcome graduates in agriculture, food science, environment studies, geography, sociology, development studies, political science and related fields.
