Family of kidnapped corps member cries out for help after her abductors demanded a N40 M ransom

Mrs. Roseline Onoriode, the mother of a Corps member, Faith Onoriode, who was kidnapped on the Abuja-Kaduna road has appealed to the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and the federal government to help secure her release. 

Faith, a graduate of the Department of Biology/Microbiology, Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe, Oghara, was kidnapped alongside other travelers on March 21, 2022, at the Abuja-Kaduna Road at Regania community while on her way to orientation camp in Jigawa state. 

She has been in captivity for close to a month,

According to the distraught mum who spoke to newsmen, the case had been reported to the authorities of the NYSC in Abuja and Jigawa state. She disclosed that the abductors have contacted them and demanded forty million ransom. She added that the corps member has been in captivity for over a month and the last spoke to her last week Monday April 10, and she was begging to be released. 

The victim's call-up number is NYSC/DPO/2022/099882, Batch A, 2022. State of deployment, Jigawa.
